About

Hi!  I’m Stephanie, and I’m excited to get to know you, whether on a yoga mat or over a cup of coffee.  My goal is to help guide you towards feeling great, and to experience a class where you feel better than you did before you walked in.  We all deal with stress, physical and emotional, and I’ve found through my own personal practice that yoga can help to calm the body and mind through breath and intentional movement.  If you’re here because you’ve had a rough day, or you just want a reset or an hour for yourself, you’ve come to the right place! Creating an inclusive and welcoming yoga community is the most important part of teaching for me, this is a practice for every mind and every body.  We’ll flow together and have fun doing it. I encourage lightness in our practice, smiling and laughing are encouraged, and my hope is that you can leave my class with a sense of peace within yourself and a desire to share that with your community.

 

I had been practicing yoga on and off for about ten years, but it wasn’t until 2015 that yoga became a sacred and regular practice for me.  I had been going through a divorce and was looking for way to calm my body and mind; something that felt gentler and more reflective than the rock climbing and running I had been spending most of my time doing.  I enrolled in Baron Baptiste’s 40 days to Personal Revolution Program through Radiance Yoga in Boulder, CO, and that was it...I was hooked. Yoga helped me to realize that everything was going to be ok and that I was the only person who could give myself what I needed, both at that time and moving forward.  I learned how to own my sh*t, and guide myself through healing (with, of course, a little help from my friends and family)! I believe in the power of community and connection. I believe in relationships that help to make me a better person, so that I can be a part of adding a little more peace into this world.  I truly believe that you can’t fully love others until you can love yourself, and I believe that yoga can help to achieve this.

 

I am a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and I completed my training at CorePower Yoga.  I primarily teach both heated and unheated Vinyasa style and gentle yoga classes. I’m working on my 500 hour RYT certification, and I am eager to continue to learn both as a student and a teacher.  I’ve lived in Madison, Wisconsin for a year, but I’m originally from the suburbs of Chicago. I left the midwest in between and have lived in Burlington, Vermont, a Dodge Promaster Van, and Boulder, Colorado.  I’m happy to now call Madison home, and it feels good to have planted roots back in the midwest. I live on the westside with my boyfriend, seven year-old bonus son, and two dogs.
